How long is the CELPIP Speaking test?
About 15–20 minutes for 8 scored tasks. Each task has 30 or 60 seconds to prepare and 60 or 90 seconds to speak, and the timers run on their own.
How do I practise CELPIP Speaking on my own?
Read a prompt, set a timer for the preparation time, then record yourself on your phone for the speaking time and stop when it ends. Listen back for whether you answered the question, used the full time and gave reasons and examples, then compare with the sample answers.
Can I get my Speaking answer scored?
Yes. With a free CELPass account you record your answer on the computer, as in the real test, and get an AI score on the four CELPIP Speaking dimensions shown as a CLB range.
