CELPIP practice and CRS calculator MCP server for AI assistants

Connect CELPass to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code and practise CELPIP Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing with your assistant, which quizzes you, explains every answer and shows sample answers, or ask how the November 3, 2026 Express Entry changes affect a CRS score with the same calculation as our new CRS points calculator. Free, without an account.

Server URL

https://celpass.com/mcp

Remote MCP over Streamable HTTP. No authentication, no API key.

How to connect

Claude (claude.ai and desktop)

Open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, name it CELPass and paste the server URL. Then turn it on in a chat from the tools menu.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http celpass https://celpass.com/mcp

ChatGPT

Where your plan lets you add custom connectors (apps) by URL, add a new one with the server URL and no authentication.

Cursor, Windsurf and other clients

Add it to the client's MCP config file (for Cursor, .cursor/mcp.json):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "celpass": { "url": "https://celpass.com/mcp" }
  }
}

VS Code

Add it to .vscode/mcp.json:

{
  "servers": {
    "celpass": { "type": "http", "url": "https://celpass.com/mcp" }
  }
}

Assistant can only browse the web?

Opening https://celpass.com/mcp in a browser doesn't run the tools: MCP needs the connector added above. If your assistant can only open links, give it this one instead. It returns the same CRS calculation as JSON:

https://celpass.com/api/public/crs-november-2026?score=519&spouse=yes&years=1&jobs=21221:12&offer_noc=21300

score is the current CRS (optional), spouse yes or no, years of Canadian work (0–5), jobs the NOC codes and months in each (21221:12,41101:8) and offer_noc a job offer's NOC code (optional). Add ?find=software engineer to look up whether a job is a high-wage occupation.

Tools

calculate_crs_november_2026

Estimate the CRS points an Express Entry candidate gains on November 3, 2026, when Canadian work experience becomes the Labour Market Integration factor: unchanged work-length points plus 70/40/20 extra points after 12+ months in a 2×/1.5×/1.3× high-wage occupation, or 100/70/50 points for a job offer in one (no LMIA needed), whichever is higher, never both. Max 150 (140 with a spouse). Give NOC codes; the tool looks up each occupation's level on IRCC's list. Only this factor changes.

find_high_wage_occupation

Search IRCC's high-wage occupation list (in effect November 3, 2026; 186 NOC 2021 codes) by job title words or NOC code. Returns each match's level (2×, 1.5× or 1.3× the average median wage) and the CRS points it earns. An occupation that isn't listed earns no high-wage or job offer points.

get_celpip_practice_question

Get one random CELPIP practice item from CELPass in the real test format. Reading (parts 1–4): a passage or diagram with multiple-choice questions and fill-in blanks shown as ____(n). Listening (parts 1–6): the questions plus a listen_url where the learner plays the recording (no transcript). Speaking (parts 1–8): the task, any picture, and the preparation and speaking times. Writing (tasks 1–2): the email or survey task with its time limit and word count. No answers are included: mark Reading and Listening with check_celpip_answers, and compare Speaking and Writing with get_celpip_sample_answers. Each day has a new set of items (3 per part), the same for everyone; calls return a random one from today's set.

check_celpip_answers

Mark a learner's answers to a Reading or Listening item from get_celpip_practice_question: returns the score, the correct letter for each question and an explanation of why each option is right or wrong.

get_celpip_sample_answers

Sample answers at several CELPIP levels (4–5, 7–8, 9–10, 11–12) for a Speaking or Writing task from get_celpip_practice_question, with how CELPIP rates it. Use them to give the learner feedback on their own answer.

Try asking

  • “Give me a CELPIP Reading Part 4 practice question and check my answers.”
  • “I want to practise CELPIP Listening Part 1.”
  • “Give me a CELPIP Speaking Part 3 task, then compare my answer with the sample answers.”
  • “Give me a CELPIP Writing Task 1 email and give me feedback on what I write.”
  • “My CRS is 519, my spouse is coming, I have 1 year of Canadian work as a business systems specialist (NOC 21221) and a job offer as a civil engineer. What's my score after November 3?”
  • “Is NOC 72201 a high-wage occupation for Express Entry?”
  • “How many CRS points does a job offer for a registered nurse give from November 2026?”

CRS answers include the breakdown, IRCC's sources and a link to the calculator page. Practice comes from a new set of items each day; for unlimited practice and full mock tests, use the question bank.

Frequently asked questions

What is the CELPass MCP server?

A free Model Context Protocol server at https://celpass.com/mcp. AI assistants that support remote MCP servers can call it to quiz you on CELPIP Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing practice and explain every answer, to calculate the Express Entry CRS points that change on November 3, 2026, and to look up IRCC's high-wage occupation list.

Does it cost anything or need an account?

No. There is no sign-up or API key. Practice comes from a new set each day (3 items per part, the same for everyone), up to 20 items a day per user; the CRS tools have no limit. Nothing you send is stored.

Which CELPIP questions can my assistant give me?

Reading (all four parts, including diagrams), Listening (all six parts: your assistant gives you a CELPass link where you play the recording, with no transcript) Speaking (all eight tasks with pictures and the real preparation and speaking times) and Writing (the email and survey tasks with their time limits), with sample answers at four levels for both. Your assistant marks Reading and Listening and explains why each option is right or wrong. For AI scoring of your own Speaking and Writing, and timed mock tests, use celpass.com.

Is the result official?

No. It is an estimate from the rules IRCC published on October 16, 2026, not immigration advice. IRCC recalculates every profile itself when the change takes effect.

Results are estimates from IRCC's published rules, not legal advice or an official assessment. CELPass is an independent CELPIP practice platform, not affiliated with any government or with Paragon Testing Enterprises.
