How to use these courses
- Find your weakest skill. Requirements apply to every skill separately, so it decides your result. The free diagnostic gives a predicted CLB for each section.
- Read that course in order. Each lesson takes a few minutes.
- Do every exercise before opening the answers, out loud for Speaking.
- Practise with real timers: the format pages have practice prompts for every part, and the question bank scores your answers.
Frequently asked questions
Is this CELPIP course really free?
Yes. Every lesson is free to read without an account. A free CELPass account adds the diagnostic, one AI-scored mock test and a few AI-scored Speaking or Writing answers; paid plans add unlimited scoring.
Which CELPIP course should I start with?
Start with your weakest skill, because immigration requirements apply to every skill separately. If you don't know which one that is, take the free diagnostic first, then begin with that course.
How long does each course take?
Each lesson takes a few minutes to read, and each course can be read in under an hour. Doing the exercises out loud or on paper, and then practising with real timers, takes longer and is where most of the improvement comes from.
Are there videos?
No. The courses are text only, so you can read them on a phone, translate a word when you need to, and come back to a lesson in seconds.
