CELPIP Writing sample answers
Sample answers for every task at three CLB levels, with notes on what separates them.
How the section works
- You type your answers. A word counter is shown and there is basic cut, copy and paste, but no spell checker.
- Each task has its own timer and moves on automatically when time runs out.
- Answer every point in the prompt: missing one is the most common way to lose Task Fulfillment.
How CELPIP Writing is scored
- Raters score four dimensions: Content/Coherence, Vocabulary, Readability and Task Fulfillment.
- The result is a CELPIP level from M to 12, which matches the same CLB level.
- Going under 150 words usually costs Task Fulfillment; going a little over 200 is not penalised directly, but it uses time you need for checking.
