How the section works
- The section opens with a short unscored practice task.
- Every recording plays once. You can take notes on the scrap paper you are given.
- Most questions are multiple choice with four options. Some questions appear only after the recording ends, so you cannot read them first.
How CELPIP Listening is scored
- Your number of correct answers is converted to a CELPIP level from M to 12, which matches the same CLB level.
- There is no penalty for a wrong answer, so answer every question.
- The test may include unscored questions that are used for research; you cannot tell which ones they are.
