A: Thanks for coming, everyone. We need to finalize our plans for this year's youth basketball league. The season starts in six weeks, and there's still a lot to sort out.

B: Right. Our biggest challenge is that we've got more kids signed up than ever before. Last count was 160 players between ages 8 and 14.

C: That's amazing! But it also means we need more volunteer coaches and probably more court time at the community center.

A: Exactly. Currently, we only have eight confirmed coaches, and we really need at least twelve to maintain reasonable team sizes.

B: I've been talking to some of the parents. A few seemed interested in coaching, but they're worried about the time commitment. Maybe we could have assistant coaches to share the load?

C: That's a good idea. We could also offer some basic coaching workshops. I know several parents who'd be more confident coaching if they had some training.

A: I like that. What about court time? We only have the community center booked for Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

B: Well, I checked with Riverside School. They're willing to let us use their gym on Saturday mornings. The rental fee is pretty reasonable, too.

C: That would be perfect for games! And we could keep the weekday practices at the community center.

A: Speaking of games, we need to decide on uniforms. The ones from last year are pretty worn out.

B: I got some quotes from local suppliers. The best deal is from SportStyle - they'll do jerseys with numbers and our league logo for $18 each.

C: That's not bad. Could we get sponsors to help cover the costs? Local businesses are usually pretty supportive.

A: Good thinking. I know the hardware store on Main Street sponsors Little League teams. We could approach them.

B: We should also think about end-of-season awards. Last year's pizza party was a hit.

C: Yes, but with 160 kids, we might need to split it into two sessions. And we definitely need more volunteers for that.

A: Agreed. Let's make a list of everything we need: more coaches, training sessions, court bookings, uniforms, sponsors, and event planning.

B: Don't forget referees. We'll need more of them too, especially with games at two locations.

C: I can handle the referee scheduling. I know some high school players who'd be perfect for it.

A: Great! Let's meet again next week. By then, I'll have contacted potential sponsors, and you can start reaching out to those parent coaches.

B: Perfect. I'll confirm the school gym booking and get the uniform order ready.

C: And I'll draft a training schedule for new coaches. This is going to be our best season yet!
