CELPIP Speaking Task 4 practice picture: Hospital Waiting Room

In this picture, what do you think will most probably happen next?

Excellent answer (transcript): around CLB 11–12

The hospital waiting room is busy yet calm, with patients sitting patiently, reading magazines or using their phones. A nurse is assisting a patient at the reception desk, while a few family members are sitting together, likely waiting for a loved one’s appointment. The TV is playing a news broadcast, adding to the calm atmosphere. I predict that the patients will continue to wait quietly for their names to be called, while the nurse will stay busy helping other patients check in. The atmosphere will remain relaxed, with people passing time until it’s their turn to be seen by a doctor.

A nurse is at the reception desk, assisting a patient with check-in, while some family members are sitting together. The TV is playing the news in the background. I imagine that the patients will continue waiting, and the nurse will likely assist other patients who arrive.
