MAN: Excuse me, is this the number 42 bus that goes downtown?
WOMAN: Yes, it is. I'm heading downtown in about five minutes. Are you going far?
MAN: I need to get to the Central Library on Maple Avenue. I have a job interview at 2:30, and I'm not really familiar with this part of the city.
WOMAN: The Central Library? Let me think... that's actually about two blocks past my regular stop. You'd need to transfer to the number 15 bus at Wilson Street.
MAN: Oh no, really? I was hoping to get there directly. How long would the transfer take?
WOMAN: Well, the 15 runs every 20 minutes, but there's actually another option. If you don't mind walking a bit, you could get off at Elm Street and walk about 5 minutes. It might be faster than waiting for the transfer.
MAN: That sounds much better. I don't mind walking at all. How will I know which stop is Elm Street?
WOMAN: Don't worry, I'll announce it. It's about a 15-minute ride from here.

- Question 5, read aloud
Question 5: listen, then show the question text
How does the woman feel about waiting for the man?
Transcript (read it after you answer)
MAN: Thanks for letting me know about the Elm Street stop. Um, I just realized I don't have exact change for the fare. Do you accept credit cards?
WOMAN: Sorry, we don't take credit cards on the bus. The fare is $3.25. Do you have any coins at all?
MAN: I only have a $20 bill and about $2 in change. I should have planned better, but I was in such a rush this morning.
WOMAN: That's a common problem. We don't give change for bills, unfortunately. But you know what? There's a convenience store right across the street. You could quickly run in and break your $20.
MAN: Oh, that's a good idea. But will you wait? I'd hate to miss this bus and be late for my interview.
WOMAN: Well, I'm supposed to leave in two minutes according to the schedule, but I can wait an extra minute or two. Just be quick, okay?
MAN: Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. I'll run as fast as I can.

What will most likely happen next?
Transcript (read it after you answer)
MAN: Thanks for waiting. Here's my fare. I really can't thank you enough.
WOMAN: No problem. We all have those days. So, what kind of job are you interviewing for at the library?
MAN: It's for an IT support position. They're upgrading their computer systems, and they need someone to help with the transition and provide ongoing support.
WOMAN: That sounds interesting. You know, if you're going to be working downtown, you might want to look into getting a monthly transit pass. It would save you a lot of money compared to paying individual fares.
MAN: That's a good point. Where can I get one of those passes?
WOMAN: You can get them at any transit center or at most major grocery stores. The main transit center is actually right next to the library, so you could check it out after your interview. A monthly pass is $85, which is a good deal if you're commuting regularly.
MAN: Perfect! I'll definitely look into that after my interview. Hopefully, I get the job first, though!
WOMAN: Good luck! We're approaching Elm Street now, so get ready to exit.
