CELPIP Speaking Task 2 Sample Answer: A Time When You Were Patient

A significant moment of patience in my life was when I was waiting for my first job offer after graduating from university. I had applied to several companies, but the one I really wanted took nearly two months to get back to me. During that time, I experienced a rollercoaster of emotions—hope, anxiety, and even self-doubt—wondering if I wasn’t good enough. I channeled my energy into improving my skills and preparing for interviews, which helped me stay grounded. When I finally received the offer, the sense of relief and joy was overwhelming, and I realized that patience had taught me resilience and trust in the process.

I remember a time when I had to be patient while waiting for my visa to study abroad. The process took about three months, and during that time, I was really anxious because I wasn’t sure if it would be approved. I kept myself busy by preparing for my studies and learning about the new country. When I finally got the visa, I felt so relieved and proud of myself for staying calm during the wait.

I wait for my exam result one time. It take one month, and I feel very worry. I want to know if I pass or not. Every day I check my phone, but nothing come. When result come, I pass, and I feel happy.
