The question

A member of your social media group chat shared something personal without your consent, and you feel uncomfortable about it.

Choose ONE: EITHER Talk to the person who shared the information and explain why you feel uncomfortable and ask them to be more mindful in the future. OR Talk to the group and explain that everyone should be more mindful of privacy and boundaries when sharing in the chat.

I was really uncomfortable when a personal matter of mine was shared in the group chat without my consent. I’ll talk to the person privately and explain why this made me uneasy, emphasizing the importance of respecting privacy. I’ll kindly ask that they be more mindful about sharing sensitive information in the future. If necessary, I’ll also bring it up with the group to remind everyone of the boundaries we should respect when using the chat.
