Grant: Thanks for coming, everyone. Our neighborhood watch program is growing, and we need to assign specific patrol roles.
Elena: Right now, people just walk around in pairs, but there’s no clear system for who does what.
Victor: That’s true. I think we should have designated “observers” and “communicators.” Observers focus on spotting anything unusual, while communicators handle radio check-ins.
Grant: I like it. We could also add a “liaison” role—someone who updates the local police if needed.
Elena: And maybe a “log keeper” to record patrol notes after each shift. That way, patterns can be tracked over time.
Victor: Good point. Also, we need a rotating schedule so no one’s stuck with the same role every time.
Grant: Agreed. And we should have clear guidelines on what counts as suspicious activity.
Elena: Absolutely. We don’t want people calling in every minor thing, but we also don’t want to miss something serious.
Victor: Should we provide reflective vests? It would make patrols more visible and safer.
Grant: Yes, I’ll budget for those. So, to summarize: four roles—observer, communicator, liaison, and log keeper—rotating each shift, with clear activity guidelines and reflective vests.
Elena: Perfect. I’ll prepare a training sheet.
