Dear Sam,
I hope you’re doing well! I’m reaching out to organize a group hike for next weekend since we haven’t gotten together in a while. I was thinking about Blue Ridge Trail—it’s about an hour’s drive, and the views are amazing this time of year. The trail is moderate, so it should suit everyone, but I wanted to check if you’re up for it.
I’m picturing a group of six or so—maybe you, me, Tara, Liam, and a couple of others. Could you let me know if Saturday or Sunday works better for you? Also, do you think we should bring food for a picnic at the top, or just snacks and water? I’m happy to coordinate, but I’d love your input on what everyone might enjoy.
One last thing: Tara mentioned you got a new car—does it have space for a few people? If not, I can drive, but it’d be great to carpool to save on gas. Let me know what you think!
Looking forward to catching up,
Jess

Dear Jess,
This sounds like so much fun—count me in! I’m good for if that works for everyone else. A picnic sounds awesome; I think would be perfect for the group. My car can fit four people, so should be fine. I’ll check with Tara and Liam to confirm they’re free, and about their preferences. Let’s make this happen !
Cheers,
Sam
