Dear Elena,
The revised lease package that arrived this morning adds several written terms that were not in last week's renewal summary, and the payment page lists them as due with the rent by Sunday night. I am not asking to reopen the whole renewal, since the rent and the lease dates still match what we agreed. My real concern is narrower: two of the new entries are unexplained or plainly wrong, and I want them corrected in writing before either of us pays a share.
The first entry is a new cleaning deposit that never came up in our renewal discussion. The attached schedule does not say whether the amount is refundable or what condition would let the landlord keep it. Because the payment page treats it as ordinary rent, paying now would mean accepting an unexplained charge with no written terms. I would like the landlord to state its purpose, refund conditions, and current status in a reply we can keep.
The second entry is a mistake in the vehicle registration. My own car is listed correctly, but the form still shows your former vehicle and leaves out the licence plate you sent the building office. A wrong plate could block your garage access even after the rent clears, so it should not wait until after move-in. I would rather the office correct the record before either of us relies on the parking pass.
None of this blocks the parts that are already clear. The package lists both of us as contacts for the move-in cleaning, key collection, and condition report, which we had meant to divide anyway. I can meet the cleaner on Saturday and photograph the apartment afterward, but I cannot reach the office for the keys during business hours on Monday. If you take the key appointment, I will assemble the photographs and file the condition report.
So the one thing I need from you is an email to the landlord: ask them to confirm the deposit's terms and to send a corrected vehicle page. Once both come back in writing, I can move my share across before Sunday night. Please forward whatever reply you get, and I will update our shared checklist the same evening.
Best,
Jared Cole

Hi Jared,
I think holding the payment back is , and I would not treat that deposit as ordinary rent until the landlord explains its terms in writing.
On the move-in side, I will on Monday. You can meet the cleaner and photograph the place on Saturday, so that side of things is already sorted. Once you send the pictures over, I can help before you file it, so the cleaning and the key handover are logged together.
The vehicle page bothers me most. The form still lists instead of the plate I handed the office myself, and a wrong entry could lock me out of the garage. I will flag it in the same email so the landlord sees both problems at once.
As soon as they reply on both points, I will , and then we can each transfer our share before Sunday night. Thanks for catching all of this.
Warmly,
Elena
