Dear Internet Support,

Our internet becomes unreliable most evenings after 7:00 p.m., even though the modem lights look normal and the connection works well earlier in the day. Video calls freeze, shared files stop during upload, and websites fail for a minute or two before returning. Before anyone recommends a faster plan, I would like support to check whether there is a service fault. The regular timing could point to neighbourhood congestion, a line problem, or equipment that struggles after several hours of use. This repeated pattern matters more than one unusually slow test.

For three evenings, I tested the same laptop in the same room, first on Wi-Fi and then with an Ethernet cable. Morning speeds were close to the advertised range. In the evening, download results changed from test to test, while upload speeds often fell below what our two remote workers need. The cable improved the result slightly but did not stop the drops. I also restarted the modem, disconnected unused devices, and moved the router away from the television. These steps reduce the chance of a simple Wi-Fi problem, but they do not show where the remaining fault is.

My partner has private client meetings next week, so short repeated drops are especially difficult. Because the connection returns between them, a technician who visits at midday may see normal service and miss the evening pattern. If a home visit is needed, please tell me whether evening appointments are available. Another option would be for me to collect time-stamped test results that a technician could compare with your network records. I can send screenshots, but they should support a provider-side review rather than replace it.

Please reply by Monday afternoon with the measurements you need, the remote checks you can perform, and the available appointment times. If the line and network are working properly and our current plan is truly too small, I will consider an upgrade. Until then, a new plan would add capacity without explaining why the same slowdown happens at the same time each evening. Please keep the case open until someone has reviewed the evening pattern. I am happy to run any extra tests you suggest in the meantime.

Sincerely,

Hassan Omar

Dear Mr. Omar,

Your wired tests show that Wi-Fi may affect the connection, but they do not during the evening. We need to compare those results with our network data before we discuss any change of plan.

We will first review for congestion and line errors during the times you reported. We will focus on the same evening periods, not only on daytime averages.

Please send the wired and wireless results as , not as a replacement for our remote review.

If the remote checks do not identify the cause, we will try to arrange or provide the technician with your time-stamped records. We will send the review results and next steps . Please continue recording the exact time of any new drops until then.

Regards,

Network Support
