CELPIP Speaking Task 2 Sample Answer: A Fun Experience Playing in the Snow

During a winter trip to the Alps two years ago, I tried skiing for the first time, surrounded by powdery snow and stunning mountain views. Initially, I stumbled and fell repeatedly, which was humbling, but with practice, I began to glide smoothly down the slopes. The thrill of speeding through the crisp air left me exhilarated and in awe of the landscape. I felt a mix of challenge and joy that day. This experience ignited a passion for winter sports and taught me the value of perseverance, making every snowy adventure since then even more meaningful.

A couple of winters ago, I went snowboarding with my cousins at a nearby hill. At first, I kept falling and felt frustrated, but my cousins helped me learn how to balance. We spent the whole day racing down the slopes and laughing together. I felt excited when I finally got better at it. By the end, I was proud of myself for improving. This experience made winter more enjoyable and showed me how fun it is to try new activities with family.

Last winter, I played in the snow with my friends in a park near my house. We made snowballs and had a big snowball fight. It was very cold, but we laughed a lot. I felt happy because it was so fun to play together. After, we were tired but smiled all day. This made me like winter more because I had a good time with my friends.
