Excellent answer: around CLB 11–12

I believe prioritizing regular repairs and maintenance for all public housing units (Option A) is the most effective way to improve living conditions. Proper maintenance addresses urgent needs such as structural integrity, safety, and sanitation, which are fundamental to residents’ well-being. Although community gardens and recreational spaces (Option B) promote social interaction and mental health, these benefits are secondary to having safe, functional homes. Investing in consistent repairs ensures that existing housing stock remains habitable and dignified. In the long term, a well-maintained environment fosters a sense of pride and stability, which is essential for community development.

Good answer: around CLB 7–8

I would choose regular repairs and maintenance for all public housing units. This ensures that residents have safe and healthy living spaces. Without repairs, buildings can become dangerous or uncomfortable. While community gardens and recreation areas improve life, they are less important than fixing basic problems like heating, plumbing, or electricity. By focusing on maintenance first, cities show that they care about residents’ well-being. That’s why option A is my choice.

Basic answer: around CLB 4–5

I think regular repairs and maintenance are the most important for public housing. If buildings are clean and safe, people feel better at home. Sometimes, old buildings have problems like broken windows or leaky roofs. Fixing these things makes a big difference. Community gardens are nice, but people need good homes first. That’s why I believe option A is better for improving public housing.
