WOMAN: Hi Milo, the championship starts Sunday at four. Should we watch at my apartment, your place, or the restaurant near the station?
MAN: Hey. Your television is larger, but your upstairs neighbour works nights and sleeps during the afternoon. Eight people cheering below him seems inconsiderate.
WOMAN: My place also has only six chairs. The restaurant handles noise and seating, although it requires one food order per person during the game.
MAN: That becomes expensive for Leo and Kim. Your place is quieter, but the screen is small.
WOMAN: We could invite only four people, but excluding half the group now would feel strange. What if we use your building's common lounge?
MAN: The lounge has a larger screen and twelve chairs. It is free, but residents cannot reserve it, so another group could be there first.
WOMAN: Could we arrive early and claim a corner instead?
MAN: Agreed. There is also the community room at my sports club. Members can book it for ten dollars, and outside food is allowed.
WOMAN: That sounds promising. Does your membership permit guests?
MAN: I checked last month: one member can sign in up to ten guests. I will confirm the rule has not changed before booking.
WOMAN: I just saw a note online: the earlier match ran long, so our game now starts at four fifteen, not four.
MAN: Good to know. That gives us extra time to book the club room instead of racing to claim the lounge early.
WOMAN: Each household could bring one dish, so Leo and Kim just bring popcorn.
MAN: Let us bring only handheld food for faster cleanup, and we need to leave the room by seven thirty.
WOMAN: If the guest rule is confirmed, book the club for three thirty. Otherwise we use the restaurant, but mention its order rule first.
MAN: Perfect. The club gives us a reserved room, acceptable noise, and lower shared cost; the restaurant remains a transparent backup, not a surprise bill.
