MAN: Hey, Mia, did you decide yet what you're doing with that snack box subscription?
WOMAN: I'm still going back and forth, honestly. Half the stuff in the last box just sat in the pantry.
MAN: Yeah, but you said the specialty coffee was actually really good.
WOMAN: The coffee, sure. That's the one thing I always use. Everything else honestly feels like filler just to bulk up the box.
MAN: How much is it a month again these days?
WOMAN: Thirty-five, but it jumps to forty-five next renewal. They emailed about some "value tier" change.
MAN: That's a pretty big jump for stuff you're not even using.
WOMAN: I know. I guess part of me just likes getting a package to open, if I'm being honest.
MAN: That's fair, but you could probably just get the coffee separately for less money.
WOMAN: Maybe. Though I'd lose the little extras, even if I don't use most of them anyway.
MAN: What if you paused it instead of canceling outright? Some services let you skip a few months.
WOMAN: Actually, that's not a bad idea at all. I didn't think they offered that.
MAN: Check the account settings. I paused a magazine thing that way last year.
WOMAN: Okay, I'll look tonight. If it's not there, I guess that's my answer.
MAN: Sounds reasonable. Let me know if you find the coffee alone somewhere cheaper.
WOMAN: Will do. Thanks so much for talking me through it, I was close to just letting it renew out of pure laziness.
