Transcript (read it after you answer)
MAN: Morning, Priya. You look stressed — everything okay?
WOMAN: Not really. I just watched the 8:15 pull away while I was still crossing the street.
MAN: Ouch. Isn't the next one in like twenty minutes?
WOMAN: Twenty-five, actually, and my interview starts at nine. Cutting it close doesn't even cover it.
MAN: I could drive you, but I've got that dentist thing at nine-fifteen.
WOMAN: I wouldn't want you to be late either. I guess I could just call a cab.
MAN: At rush hour? That could take a while to even show up, and it's not cheap.
WOMAN: True. What about the number 6? Doesn't that stop near your dentist's office anyway?
MAN: It does, but it loops around through the old part of downtown first — it's actually slower than waiting for the next bus.
WOMAN: Okay, scratch that idea. Actually — you know what, I could walk to the SkyTrain station instead. It's only ten minutes from here.
MAN: That could work, if the train's running on schedule. There was some kind of delay posted yesterday.
WOMAN: I'll check the app before I commit. Worst case, I message the interviewer that I might be five minutes behind.
MAN: That's probably smarter than panicking over it. Want me to walk partway with you, at least until my own bus comes?
WOMAN: Sure, that'd be nice, actually. Better than standing here alone stressing about it.
MAN: Let's go, then. And text me once you know you made it.
