A 30-Day CELPIP Study Plan
By CELPass Editorial Team · Updated
Thirty days is enough to move up a CLB level in a weak section if you practise the right things. This plan assumes about an hour a day; adjust it around your test date.
Before you start: find your baseline
Take a short diagnostic or a full mock test under real timing. Write down your level in each section and the gap to your target. Spend most of your time on the section with the biggest gap, not the one you enjoy.
Week 1: learn the format
- Go through every part and task once so nothing on test day is a surprise.
- Learn the timings: 27 and 26 minutes for Writing, 30–60 seconds to prepare in Speaking.
- Build a simple structure for each Speaking task and for both Writing tasks.
- Start a vocabulary list from your mistakes, not from a generic word list.
Week 2: fix your weakest section
- Writing: write one email or survey response a day, under time, and review the feedback by dimension.
- Speaking: record two or three tasks a day and listen back for pauses, fillers and missing structure.
- Listening and Reading: do one part a day and study every wrong answer until you know why it was wrong.
Week 3: full sections under test conditions
- Take one full section a day with the real timer.
- Take one full mock test at the weekend, in one sitting.
- Keep reviewing your vocabulary deck for 10 minutes a day.
Week 4: polish and rest
- Take a final mock early in the week and compare it with your baseline.
- Focus only on your top three recurring mistakes.
- Stop heavy practice two days before the test, and sleep well the night before.
Make the plan automatic
CELPass builds this plan around your test date: the diagnostic finds your gaps, every Writing and Speaking answer is scored on the CELPIP dimensions, and your mistakes become 10-minute daily drills.
